We had the good fortune of connecting with Jose Arroyo Torrenegra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jose, what matters most to you?
I treat people the way I would like to be treated
When I think about respect I think about a Beatles song that goes like this “and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you made”
What should our readers know about your business?
the world of entertainment is not easy and is very competitive and even more so for an immigrant. in my particular case I always loved sports and music and during my time as a musician I tried to be very polite and treat with respect the promoters, producers, managers who worked doing shows in that time and today those people work with me in my projects. That is why I insist that respect has been the key to the success of my company Blacktower.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
this one is a little difficult! the first thing is to take a boat ride and eat at rusty pelican, walk Lincoln rd, visit “la calle 8” 8th street and at night there are many places, personally I like to go to tobacco road to listen to good rock and roll.
another thing, you can’t leave without seeing a miami heat game or going to a blacktower event 🤣
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I do not consider myself as a religious person but since I started to believe and have a personal relationship with God everything I do has been successful, I read the bible often and I think it is a great, very complete book that always has an answer to your current needs.
I also dedicate my dedication and push to my father who is my benchmark of hard work and perseverance.
